Loma Linda University Children's Hospital commissioned One Third Blue to create two VR art pieces to be performed live on stage at the LLUCH 25th annual gala alongside the Rockcellos, a cello duo who were finalists on America's Got Talent.
Theme: Hope & Healing
Song: 'Eye of the Storm' by Ryan Stevenson
Angela chose the willow tree to be the center of the art piece, as it represented hope and guarded the small world beneath it. The performance featured photos of children from the hospital. Each .jpg was pulled out of the 3D modeled balloon (made in Blender and imported into Tilt Brush) and featured beneath a crown to highlight each child.
Theme: Thank You Message
Song: 'Sweet Child o' Mine' live cello cover by Rockcellos
This piece was meant to convey a message of thanks to the 1,000 gala attendees, auction participants, and foundation chairs, while highlighting updates from LLUCH Initiative 'Vision 2020' - the new hospital building being erected on the LLUCH campus in 2020. This piece was performed in unison on stage with the Rockcellos, a cello duo who were finalists on America's Got Talent.
